What fruit or veg can I grow in a window box? - fruit and nuts

I have a string 60x20cm outside my window and I thought it would be fun to grow some fruit or vegetables instead of flowers this year. "Can anyone suggest some fruit or vegetables can I plant in this small space and the level of many? Thank you!

Tomato plants in the fall are amazing. very compact, bushy plant with lots of fruit, Yum Yum! You can get seeds from most garden centers or online. The principle is in a sunny window and a new pot when they are 4 leaves, but TSD until they are strong.
Basil is also good. You can lettuce, which grows when you pluck the leaves of the same thing. Growing your own salad, you are soooooo rewarding!

Good luck

Try a tomato, or vice versa 2 peppers get 2 or 3 strawberries. They are all relatively compact plants that grow well in a pot size med
Or a mixture.

Remember to stop to cover the fruit with a piece of garden compensation to the collection of birds in it.
And they feed for general planning purposes - will make a big difference.

Lettuce and other vegetables work well. I agree that strawberries are well made, it's like to develop my own. if you can find alpine strawberry plants, it is impressive, a bit like the wild, except larger and more productive shape. Herbs also get some small-growing herbs (rosemary and sage will not work, which are large), such as basil, thyme and chives. Tomatoes grow. Hope this helps.

Fruits and vegetables have their roots much larger than the flowers do not grow at all well displayed in a window. , Difficult to cultivate. There are tomato plants that are ideal for containers. I grew these and they are nice and soft. Ideal for salads.
